FORMAS.AI Won 1st Prize at SuperAI Genesis 2026

FORMAS.AI, the AI-native design workspace for architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), won 1st prize at the SuperAI Genesis 2026 startup competition, beating a global field of nearly 1,000 AI companies to take the top spot.

The win caps a two-day pitching event on 10–11 June, where FORMAS.AI advanced through the Top 10 and Top 5 rounds before being named the overall winner.

A Field of Nearly 1,000, Narrowed to One

SuperAI Genesis 2026 drew close to a thousand AI companies from around the world, with the field narrowed to a final 10 for the live pitching rounds. Co-founder and CEO Yiping Goh delivered the company's pitches through both the Top 10 and Top 5 stages, pitches her co-founder, Professor Carlos Bañón, later called "extraordinary" and "deeply motivating to watch."

Two Rounds, One Message

Heading into the competition, the FORMAS.AI team wasn't chasing the prize, they were heads-down on product, customers, and go-to-market.

Preparing for Genesis meant compressing months of building into two 3-minute pitches, with Yiping and Carlos refining slides into the early hours of the morning to land on one core idea: why FORMAS.AI exists.

That idea, in Yiping's words, comes down to a simple lesson: show up.

A Booth That Wouldn't Stop Buzzing

Over the two days, the FORMAS.AI booth drew a strikingly wide crowd, architects, interior designers, construction professionals, homeowners, developers, artists, students, investors, and technologists all stopped to try the product. Carlos described watching the same reaction play out again and again: people stayed, tested the tool, and reacted with visible surprise at what was possible.

For the team, that response was the real signal, proof that designers are ready for a more natural, intuitive way to work with AI.

US$350,000 to Build, and to Share

Alongside the win, FORMAS.AI secured US$350,000 in OpenAI and Microsoft credits, which the team put toward accelerating development and sharing part of the prize with FORMAS.AI's own users.

Building the "Figma for Architecture"

Yiping used the stage, and her own words afterward, to make the team's ambition explicit: FORMAS.AI was building the Figma for architecture. She drew the comparison to the early days of category-defining tools like Canva, Figma, Miro, Autodesk, SketchUp, and Photoshop, framing the win as one of those rare, early inflection points in a new category.
